Day Two in the big Comet House

Bewilderment

Well, it's day two of my new job. So far, so good. After yesterday being a traffic disaster and actually costing me time rather than saving it, I figured I'd leave early and walk to work, which I can then time and figure out when the latest is that I can leave. Once again, I have no idea to expect. Everyone seems friendly enough though. Even the scary looking ones. Today will be a little longer than yesterday, as I'm on from 11 until 8. Which for a grizzled pub veteran is nothing.

FFXI

When I got in Bexs graciously allowed me some FFXI 'celebration for my first day' time. I made good progress, getting my little taru Samurai to level 12, which meant I could use a brand new shiny sword.Level 12 was a bit of a landmark because of this, so I was chuffed. My next goal is level 15, because I have a shedload of cool stuff left over from my job of Beastmaster that will greatly affect my performance.I had a good FF day, even though I did go to the Valkurm Dunes...

The Valkurm Dunes are normally a horrific experience for low level people, because for every step forward you take, you usually take seven back. that place is just... evil. But last night was OK. The party was only wiped out once, and I think we all managed to level up at least once, which in the dunes is a great achievemnet. Huzzah! Looks like I'll be taking an FF break, what with the new job and all, so the time on it was welcome. I love my little wifey. ^_^

Work Update

Well, today was meant to be more dull learning... but the PC at work decided to give up any ideas of running CD's today. So, I ended up getting chucked in at the semi-deep end. After all, I knew in theory what was meant to happen.
So, how did my first day on the floor go? Not bad. I took well over £1000. With a little help from my colleagues, I managed to sell a washing machine, and even a freezer. Nice. Things are slowly starting to slot into place, but there's soo much more work to be done. It'll come, with time. Looks like it's the same again tomorrow. Still, loving finishing at 8. ^_^

Hehe the Dunes, I loved that place, one of very few people who did though. Glad you settling down into work and stuff, finishing at a decent time is always good.
