What I did while I was ill

A very weird day

Today I handed in my notice to work proper. It was so weird. But while we were there me and Bexs decided to have some pepper steak. Mmm, tasty! The strangest thing of all was knowing that this week will be the last week I will be a barman. It's strange because I've been in the pub trade since I was at school, so to think of myself doing something else is really odd. But hey, at housegroup on Thursday my friend Simon told me that God had made known to him that this was a new chapter in my life and it was all in the big plan. So I don't feel so freaked out about the change of career. In fact, its realy odd how un-freaked I am about such a big thing in my life. Heh, God is Good.

FFXI Addiction

Because I was ill on Saturday, I spent most of my evening playing FFXI. I finally managed to unlock the Samurai job with the help of a linkshell buddy and a player who had a soft spot for people that played as Tarutaru. I was really chuffed, since I've wanted to try out the Samurai job for ages. I was still a bit poorly on Sunday, so I tried out the new job and discovered that it's fab. (As if hitting things with a Katana would be dull hahaha!) This might be bad news for me trying to quit.

(Explanation: My character on FFXI is a Tarutaru, who are small cute halflings who excel at magic. Now then, unlike other MMOS, you can change the job of your character to any of the jobs you have unlocked via quests. So one day I could be a White Mage, a caster of healing spells who ensures everyone in the party doesn't die. If I get bored I could switch to a more hands on job like Warrior, which involves hitting monsters and making sure they stay away from my teammates. The Samurai job is similar to a Warriors, in that I get to hit things. But a Samurai's speciality is in their ability to use their Katana to inflict large chunks of damage to those evil monsters. They are also able to cause even more damage though devastating special moves.)

Astris Bandit Updates

The third page of Astris Bandit has been pencilled and I've done most of page four. I plan on inking and scanning them both soon so I can upload them to the website ready for the next update. You'll note theres now a link to the site on this lovely blog of mine. ^_^
Once Astris Bandit gets truly going and I get into a rigid creative schedule, I'm considering plonking some background stuff on here about the Astris galaxy. We're talking about why the characters look as they do, who I based them on, where I got my inspirations for my designs, that sort of thing. I think my aim with Bandit is to a) create a series of comics that are cool with a spiritual leaning and b) Get a mention in Wikipedia. Yep, it's nearly that shallow. I just hope God can use it somehow. Which reminds me, I really should think about writing one of these books in my head.

Talking about God using animation and the like. It's the same old story of the church being left behind. Just compare these two: www.3dpeople.de/kult an atheist game &
www.digitalpraise.com/flash.php Christian games. Which wins?
