No Pressure, just crazy people.

Well, my trial month at work is over now, so now I have to meet targets and things. It's certainly going to get interesting from now on. Apparently my targets are easy for me to manage but I'm not quite convinced myself. I guess I still need to believe I can do it in myself... I'm still a bit unsure on my feet. After all, it's only my second ever job type. :)

An interesting story for you. Sometimes we get disgruntled customers in. it's natural in any job. This one lass came in with a sour mush, and when I asked if I could help she muttered something at me. I asked her to repeat again, and she muttered again, this time, something about a battery. I asked her to repeat it one more time, and this time, in clear English she snapped at me to get someone who could help her with the contents of the plastic bag she was holding. So I directed her to the Customer Help desk, and went about my daily routine of trying to help people choose between products.
I was helping a chap with a laptop (I think I was.. it was in that section.. lol) and we were heading back to the sales desk, when I noticed we'd got interesting visitors- the police, who had come to escort the lady I'd greeted earlier from the premises. My colleagues informed me that she'd come in, started off with talking angry and then exploded into a stream of abuse. It had got so bad that the manager had called in some back up. She'd given the usual threats that she'd be back, and had been escorted away.
Next day, I turned up to work, thinking I may be a teeny bit off schedule. However, I was greeted with an interesting scene- all the staff outside the building, including the manager. During the night, someone had super glued the doors and locks shut, and covered the doors in shaving foam too. The chaps from Homebase, our neighbours in the retail park tried to help, but to no avail. Eventually a locksmith turned up and got us in.

Fun. ^^

Me and Bexs have been playing Phantasy Star Universe a lot this week. It's a lot of fun. Personally I've gone for a big blow-out this week to get it out of my system, and to purge my initial MMO addiction, to which I'm prone. It looks like it's going to be just as good as I was hoping it would be. Next week I'm going to set aside a day to get back on FFXI though- heck, I'm still paying for it, and I'm still enjoying it. It's my 'thinky' MMO as opposed to PSU's lighter 'Kill anything that isn't human' vibe. Either way I doubt I'll buying any new games for a while... ;)

Bexs @23

It's Becky's birthday on Friday. Just thought that was worth a mention.
