Oops!

I walked into work last week and the duty manager asked for a word. Nothing serious- they just wanted me to be in on time. This retail stuff has some odd ideas.. the rota says I'm supposed to be in for 10, so that's when I turn up, right? Wrong. I'm supposed to there 10-15 minutes earlier. Nothing personal, just a daft rule. No probs. This week I've written down my rota with adjusted hours so that I'm not 'late' again. Weird rule. The rest of the week went ok.

Arnold Rimmer, 2nd Technician.

This Red Dwarf character was into a good game of Risk. And until yesterday I'd never played it. But at an evening get together with my church pals was to change my perspective on the game. Especially after nine hours of it. :P It sure is a very interesting game. A little geeky perhaps, but that's fine with me. My team consisted of me and my good pal Mim, and our mission was some serious domination. Our finest hour was when we'd conquered most of North America and Australia. It did not last too long though. Eventually the powers of South America managed to conquer Africa, and flexed their muscles north, to annihilate us. That and the blues mission to destroy us made sure that although we had enjoyed a mighty empire for a while, it quickly crumbled.

Well, it's a new week. I hope it turns out well. With FFXI on maintenance, looks like tonight I'll have to think of something to do. hmm, I think I could catch up with some Astris stuff...
