Christmas Cheer
Well, I'll be honest- I wasn't feeling very Christmassy at all until Christmas eve when we finally got the train to my dad's house. We were a bit worried about the train strike that threatened to stuff it all up, but in the end it turned out to be only local trains, not international ones. Huzzah!
We both recieved some good stuff, not going to go into detail but it was all good. For me Christmas has been more about getting the presents to their recipients, not getting them. In fact, I usually end up forgetting that it works both ways. I had a great time hanging out with my big sis and her hubby, as well as me dear old Dad. I also got to see my little sis and her two fellas, one of which is the latest addition to our fold, who is growing up fast and is a cheeky little fellow. Boxing day we spent with my mum and her husband, a nice relaxed day with no worries. They even gave us a lift home, which was much appreciated since Bexs had to work the next day.
..And the New Year...
Next up is new year, which If I'm honest about, I'm not too bothered with. I'm back at work today after a day of slobbing around . I'm not really looking forward to it, but who does look forward to work, really? In my devotional time I've been going through Ecclesiastes, one of the more philosophical books of the Bible, and is actually a mine of wisdom. It's certainly helping me think about my life and where I'd want it to go. But I digress.
Hopefully this next year will bring new things for both me and Bexs. Who knows what they might be? A new job? New car? New shirt? I believe me and Bexs have finally come through the murky waters of our first married year, and the next year should be a lot more fun. Heck, we might even get some cash to spend on DVDs or something. Well, time will tell.
