Slow times

My Week back at Work

Thought it might be time for another post. Yeah, I know, I'm getting quite regular at this whole blog thing.

Work

Last week I had a glorious day off where I did pretty much nothing for a whole week. Which was sweet. This week, the week I've returned to work, has been very similar. There have been very few customers throughout the month, but this was just daft.

In pub work, there was always a constant stream of punters who would turn up and buy stuff. Then there were your regular customers who you could set your watch by. Come rain shine or atomic war they'd be there. Retail it seems is a different animal.

Back in the pub, January was quiet, period. February was back to business as usual. So it's been a little odd to me that the shop is so empty. Some of my colleagues reckon it's down to this whole 'credit crunch' thing that's been going on, and that I can see being a good cause of it, since 98% of all our transactions are done with some sort of credity card thing or credit agreement. I hope it changes soon, 'cos it's getting a little tedious.

The Car

Not long now.... Been researching prices of things like petrol and de-icer and oil and tow ropes and such. I'm chuffed because the weather is getting better and cruising is *always* more fun in the sun. Plus it gives me a valid excuse to wear my prescription sunglasses. Hmm, best dig out my insurance stuff again.

Astris: Bandit

For once, I'm actually ahead of schedule. My decision to make the comic monthly for a little while has given me some time to sit down and think out Bandit's next steps. I've also made the decision to send the archived material of Bandit to an external site, since my hosting site kept crashing.. :P So for the new stuff, head to:

for the old stuff,

Both have a link at the side.

My Gaming Exploits

Well, what with me being off for a week, I've done a fair bit of gameage. I've completed two of the five games in the Orange Box on my PS3, Half Life 2 and Portal. Portal is short, but it's a lot of fun. I really enjoyed it. Half Life , although it had some quirks, was fun too, and didn't disappoint. There's two more episodes to it on the Orange Box, which I'm working through now.

Well, when it comes to Final Fantasy, there's a few things to tell. First of all, Check out this scary looking place.

This spooky looking zone is Prommivion: Mea, and the gangly thing in the middle is it's boss monster. Kill the three boss monsters in the first three Prommivion areas and you get a prize- access to new areas. Well, at the end of last week, me and my linkshell buds went and decimated that big gangly thing, so now I have new areas for my Beastmaster to explore. Just a word to say thanks to Leelu and Krysalyn from Devotion for helping me get this finally done. ^_^It's likely that I'll be going to the new areas to level up, so I'll take a few snaps.

Although I'm done with Summoner, White Mage is far from done. My goal is to get it to level 30, and it currently sits at level 23. I'm also working on my other big goal, which is to earn money for spells, and new equipment for when I go back to Beastmaster. To do this I'm putting some effort into Woodworking, levelling it up to make things that sell well. I'll soon be able to make a ninja tool called Shihei. Now those things are worth a few bob, because every ninja above level 12 uses them. A lot. So when I get around to being a ninja, I'll make my own. I'll also give a few to my linkshell pals when I'm feeling a bit rich. ^^

Well, that's me for now. Post again soon. Honest. ;)
