Not the best day off..

Well, I woke up this morning with a neck that had at some point in the night gone 'twang'. The result: Matt is 78% less maneuverable. Anything which involves moving any part of my right side results in a paralyzing pulse of pain. Great! Just what I wanted. I've pulled out all the stops to aid this painful time, including a nice warm bath (which really helped) and copious spraying of Deep Heat. I've had this sort of problem before, so I knew that the only thing that would sort out this thing properly is the most annoying way to fix it: give it time. Thankfully over the day it's been reduced to an annoying twinge, and hopefully tomorrow it will become a bog standard stiff neck.

Annoyance with drivers and FFXI

Today I decided to install FFXI on my new hard drive, since I had the whole day to do it in. I inserted all the disks, installed the software, then set it off to download updates for 6 or so hours. And just when it had finally downloaded all the updates needed.. it decided to disconnect itself and say 'Ooh, sorry, you'll have to do all that again.' I must admit, I was not that pleased with the thing. Plus, I'm having trouble with my monitor too.. think I might need to try and find the drivers on the web for it. Well, soon Phantasy Star Universe will be out so I'll be able to get my MMORPG fix. Heck, this whole mess almost made me want to buy 1. A new PC or 2. An XBox 360... hey, almost.

Well, got work again tomorrow. It sucks, but at least I'm only there until 5.30. ^_^

ASTRIS BANDIT UPDATE

Well, one good thing came of today. The Astris site got a real re-jig and no mistake. I had to use Becky's laptop to get todays cartoon onto the site, because I can't find my scanners installation disk anywhere. At least it's there now. I also had a wee tweak with one or two things, and to make my site more interesting, it now plays a tune as you browse!! Cool, huh? The tune is from Runori Kenshin, a fab anime series. Don't take my word for it, go see!!
