Meh, glad that's over

A sucky week

There's nothing worse than waking up, motivating yourself to do really well today, to get out there and stick it to the man, only to have it all demolished within 20 minutes of you getting to work. Which is what happened last week. Last week was really tough for me work wise. Nothing seemed to go right, I got told off a coupla times, gah, it sucked. My reason for not flagging this up on here was because I'd go straight onto Phantasy Star Universe with the direct intention of killing anything that moved. Heh, who says I don't deal with my anger? Hopefully this week will go well and nothing will go majorly wrong. I've got real mixed feelings about this new job of mine at the moment. But I'm going to give it at least 6 months before I decide what I want to do. Heck, I might even get promoted to MD.

Christmas and the cycle of Skintness

I often wonder why Christmas always seems to fall at the one point in my financial dealings where my cash flow is zilch, and that I owe out lots of money anyway. It was the same last year.. although last year me and Bexs were in a much direr situation than today. With my new job comes a new concept, monthly pay, which has caused all my financial planning to go all over the place. I'm not entirely sure of what day I get paid on, so I can't really plan anything. And it would seem I'm on Basic rate tax so I'm not entirely sure what my pay packet will look like. Still, I can't complain I guess, at least God is providing something, even if I'm not sure of it.

No car- No fun

Now then, to save some cash I've decided to declare my car off road for a few months until I can afford to get it MOT'ed and Taxed again. This does however have a knock on effect- public transport. I can't say I enjoy being packed into a bus like a battery hen. The trains are OK though. The only problem that comes with no car is not being able to do a lot of things I took for granted, like whizzing over to Coventry to see friends or even whizzing round Brum to visit friends or house groups. I think I'll make it one of my priorities in the new year to at least get it an MOT to see how bad things are. It sorta sucks not having a car, because journeys take forever!

Books and Bandit

I'm determined this week to do two things not related to my PS2: Do the next Astris Bandit page and make a start on a book I've been brooding over for a while. After all, the reason I went to college was so I could write books. Time to get down to it me thinks. I've made a few failed attempts, but this time around I've been setting it out like one of my old college essays, doing spider diagrams and all that crazy stuff. Might even set myself a word limit. It's been something that's been on my mind recently, and it's about time I got around to doing it justice.
